Brass Workshop

The Brass Workshop is a Moscow-based producer of items from metal and unique designer articles for indoors and outdoors. We create, to your order, various metal (brass, copper, stainless steel) furniture items for the interior: apartments, houses, offices, and retail locations. We also make small items (plaques, door handles, air vents…), furniture (beds, tables, tabletops, mirror frames, console tables…), and of course larger structures such as stairs, fences, and awnings.

For us, the building blocks of production are the idea and our experience. Indeed, the idea of producing reliable, long-lasting, and stylish items for use in everyday life was born from our experience working with metal.

A long time ago — almost thirty years ago — we were young and romantic just like most people, and got diplomas in aeronautical engineering. We were tempted by the magic of conquering the air, and of course our love of metal and of the beauty and elegance of airplanes. Back then we were awed by the large-scale and surprisingly complex production, which resulted in forms and solutions that were, at first glance, quite simple.

In making airplanes, we covered the whole distance, from milling machinist to chief engineer. In the 1990s the crisis in aviation and the times themselves forced us to look at other options. We consciously moved from airplanes to smaller design and architectural forms. We made this choice deliberately, and not by chance. What is important in the production of airplanes and of smaller designer objects seems to be the same: technical skill, reliability in production, accuracy when it comes to the smallest details, and, of course, beauty.

Today we offer our sophisticated clients true works of art in metal. It is what we take pride in, and what you too will value upon becoming the owner of one of our pieces.
